IC INFORMATION
Character Name: Angel
Species: Vampire (with a soul! It's a whole thing, see Powers and Abilities)
Canon: Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel (a.k.a. Buffyverse)
Canon Point: After After the Fall
Character Age: About 278, appearing 26
CRAU: Nope
CRAU Explanation: N/A
Character Appearance: Like this in most instances, face becomes this on the rare occasion he needs his fangs or extra vamp strength (but not when he arrives, since he'll be without his vamp powers)
Powers and Abilities: H'OH BOY it's a lot, so let me break this down...
In the Buffyverse, a human turns into a vampire when they exchange blood (as in they're bitten by their sire and they consume the sire's blood as they're nearing death). If only the vampire bites, the human will not turn but can still die if their blood is drained. When the human turns, they lose their soul because they are now half-demon, which means they no longer have a conscience or sense of guilt, remorse, or sympathy. There are four ways to kill a vampire: a wooden stake through the heart, decapitation, direct exposure to sunlight, or completely consumed by fire.
When Liam was turned into a vampire by his future lover Darla, he adopted the name Angelus and became one of the most notorious vampires in the world. However, when he murdered a girl of the Kalderash people, they cursed him with a soul again so that he could feel guilt for all of the atrocities he had committed as Angelus, thus he can never experience true happiness or else he will return to his soulless self. Therefore, in an effort to separate himself from his soulless form, he changed his name to just Angel, and this is how the two will be distinguished.
Here in Labyrinthum, Angel arrives with nearly all of his vampire features gone except for his need to consume blood; this also means that, while losing his vulnerability to sunlight, he can now die through normal means, making him almost seem human. In addition to the above, he would regain the following:
Unless otherwise clarified, the rest I'll assume he still has by default:
What Did Your Character Wish For? To see the Shanshu Prophecy come into fruition, which means that his role in the apocalypse will restore his humanity.
What Potion Did They Receive? Golden, to change him into a bat because I'm hilariously cruel that way
Did They Drink It? He's no stranger to magic BS, he will drink it
Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
Technically, the person Angel is most bonded with is his son Connor; they've been through a ton of crap together, but now they've reached a level of deep love and respect that Connor's death is what would be the last straw for him. However, he saw Connor almost right before he arrived here, so the person he misses the most is Cordelia Chase. He hasn't seen her as her true self in effectively two years, save for her projection right before she died and her accompanying him right before he died in After the Fall.
2. What are they most afraid of?
In an abstract sense, Angel fears being used as an instrument of evil by others. This is threatened multiple times by Wolfram & Hart, using the Shanshu Prophecy as motivation, and this is also why he's fiercely protective of ever subjecting the world to Angelus again. Angel always has the voice of Angelus inside him, but remains control over him so long as he keeps his soul; it has been released from him twice since the Kalderash's ritual, but despite being restored both times he still fears becoming Angelus for what he can do even before the ritual's performed once again.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Emotionally: He is most frequently mocked for his brooding, fed by his long-term guilt and regret for countless actions both in and out of his Angelus persona. He has bouts of depression and doubts over many of his decisions, constantly worried about how these impact others, and he makes an effort to not impose his problems onto them. As a result, he has a terrible tendency to push those he's close to away. A recent example when he tried to send his then-girlfriend Nina away to protect her from Wolfram & Hart's revenge, effectively breaking them up. Naturally, because of decisions such as this, his trust issues regularly get in the way of his relationships with others.
Mentally: Angel's biggest mental weaknesses are tied to his sense of purpose. Likely as overcompensation for his past self, he has a bit of a martyr complex that makes him not only prone to sacrificing his own life and/or happiness, but also assuming himself responsible for others' wellbeing, particularly toward "damsels" and his loved ones. This not only can be dangerous for his own wellbeing but also his relationship with the people in question, since this can be seen as patronizing or controlling. This intensity extends to his obsessions, whether that's with people or goals, where he has been known to resort to questionable measures in their name. When Wolfram & Hart resurrected Darla, he became so furious that he locked up the firm's lawyers with her and Drusilla so they'd all be slaughtered; when the rest of Angel Investigations were horrified by what he did, he fired all of them. Most recently, his obsession steers towards destiny, with many of his choices dictated by how they will impact the fate of those involved. This, of course, includes his role in the Shanshu Prophecy.
Physically: Beyond the vampire vulnerabilities above, Angel doesn't have any additional physical weaknesses. Without those powers, he has the same physical setbacks as your typical human.
4. What would make them happiest?
What would make him happiest is for the Shanshu Prophecy to finally be fulfilled so that he may become properly human. This is because, once he can become human, he no longer has to worry about his soul curse and can experience true happiness without Angelus being released. If he can accomplish this, said true happiness is most likely being able to live a normal life with someone he loves and their own family - essentially, experience the simple joys of humanity.
5. What’s their type for a lover?
Small, blonde women Angel's love life has been tumultuous, no small thanks to his soul curse. Considering the huge amount of baggage he has to carry, the ideal person for him needs to accept his past atrocities and be willing to either kill him or restore his soul in the event Angelus returns. This, of course, means that they have to be strong and/or skilled enough to take on a vampire, and be strong-willed enough to resist his manipulations. Personality-wise, the ideal partner for him would also be compassionate, fun, sentimental, and have a strong moral compass.

In addition to the above, he would regain the following:
- Vampire Abilities: Immortality, regeneration, superhuman physical attributes (high speed, super strength, high vitality), heightened senses (tracking by scent), vulnerability to holy items and sunlight, high pain tolerance, implied psychic connection to those he sires, can't enter active residences without invitation. Has slightly longer exposure tolerance to sunlight and holy items due to his advanced age. For more details on vampires, see their Buffyverse Wiki page.
Unless otherwise clarified, the rest I'll assume he still has by default:
- Combat: Armed and unarmed combat including martial arts. As Angelus, his fighting strategies become ruthless and remorseless.
- Magic and supernatural/occult aptitude: Immense knowledge of demonology and history from centuries of living; ability to perform spells, exorcisms, and glamours (though prefers an expert opinion for the sorcery stuff).
- Other Physical Skills: Concise handwriting, portrait drawings, car driving and admiration, cooking, some parenting experience, competence with modern technology. As Angelus, he's also an expert in torture.
- Other Mental Skills: Leadership, tactical planning, intimidation, multilingualism (fluent in English, Korean, Tibetan, Greek, Latin, Italian, Spanish, French, Belarusian, Romanian, German; limited knowledge of Vinji and Sahrvin), photographic memory, improvisational acting. As Angelus, this includes psychological manipulation.
